The Steve Sampson Soccer Academy is a division of the Global Sports Institute LLC and is a full service soccer organization for players, coaches, referees, administrators and clubs. We are pleased to announce the beginning of the 2009 season with training sessions located on the campus of Cal State University Channel Islands in Camarillo, California, Arroyo Grande, California and Northridge, California.
The Global Sports Institute offers individual training, group training and team training for all ages. We do not conflict with club commitments and will work with your club coach to maximize your development as a player.
We have just completed our second year of operation and are very proud of our accomplishments. Some of our success stories of this past year include academy members signing professionally in Australia and Mexico, receiving scholarship offers from top division one college programs while making an impact on national, regional and state championship teams in southern California. We had the pleasure of Brandi Chastain hosting a camp for girls in July. Our staff traveled to Brazil to work with 130 players and coaches in Sao Paulo. We hosted DC United of Major League Soccer during their pre-season in February. And, we worked for a week with over 50 of the top collegiate players in the country during the month of August in Arroyo Grande and Santa Barbara to help them prepare for their upcoming seasons. Both schools made the NCAA Playoffs. But most importantly we helped over 100 boys and girls improve their skills and confidence so that they not only felt good about themselves but made positive contributions to their teams.
